Bible Prophecies

for those that don't think the bible is the word of god, how do you disprove the prophecies recorded in the bible?

even for those that agree with the world of god, what makes you believe the prophecies are true?

looking to hear both sides of it..

suspicious i dont try to disprove anybodys beliefe in prophecy. if someone wants to believe a prophecy thats there business. However they wish to interpret it. As for me if i belived in God i would concentrate on God is love and he created me and we are all his beloved children, and lets give unconditional love a chance .

government and the bible...its kind of scary that some holding positions in the highest level of government believe the bible to be ' the exact and literal word of god'.

this is actually a scary thought.it was bad enough the governing body believing they have god on their side, but its also the leaders of my country believing they have god on their side and theres no question in there arrogent minds about that.....

sarahsmile and always be happy...so right how can the bible be the " exact" word of god" i am not debating the miraculouse power of God, only the claim the bible is " the exact word of God".How do we get away from incest genesis story? well lets fill in the gaps ourself Adam and Eve had other children besides cain and Abel that arnt mentiond in the bible. Now you would hope the exact and literal word of God would be cleare and not open to assumptions and interpretations.

Back to my origional point when The Governing Body and World Leaders make the claim that God speaks to them and that they trust the bible as Gods word and then we see there FAITH in action in the justification of wars in which God is on there side. I think this is kind of scary because what exactly is there justification for there beliefs based on?

These people should frighten us not be admired by us. Think of the terrible persecutions and misery throghout history caused by these dangerouse and self- righteouse leaders. And i say when someone claims God is with them yea right the Prince of Peace is with you. Yea the Governing bodies Prince Of Peace has been any day now for the last 100 years waiting to wipe out billions of his beloved children. Yea right and too think i once belived that uggggg

i would love to be able to debate some of the issues on this site.. this is the first site i have debated on.. i would like to debate with credibility.. i think i debate on only what i feel secure about, and that is a good start.

Jgnat..wow i think i will take TD s advice " theres something quisotic when a layman attempts to debate someone with formal credentials in a field" and i am that layman.

Thanks Larsonger 58 yes the field of manipulation...thats why we cant debate with the Governing body, because only they know there true agenda.

P.S. with the greatest respect Lars i think only you know your true agenda, but i do appreciate some of your posts and sometimes you make great points.

Actually Jgnat lets put communisam on the endangered topics list ( i am not up on politics) and when i look at the crap going on in the world i dont think any man magical political system has the answers....oh the Witnesses are at my door and they have all the answers and suddenley ..

Honesty lets debate smoking the fall of communism, being rich or being happy, as long as we all find new hope and happiness here.

Band on the Run....wow you wrote all that. Normally i dont read long posts. See i guess i will learn something when i digest your post tonight,i hope of your inner journey and i will take the time to read it tonight.

But debating here is a way for some to heal from feelings of guilt which should never exist in there mind anyway.So F...k you W.T. you are a reality God did not create and does not exist. But then neither do you God. ( honesty) lets deate that.....my point is some people debate here to awaken people and educate them and some have a different agenda.So how do we get real self awareness of our debating skills and why are so many gentle voices that could be heard here only lurking?

I was a lurker, then a member, and now a debater. Actually its a big deal when you see how many people read a post. Wow this post is viewed so far 236 times. Maybe i should have called it how to keep a post alive?

Thanks lost i get ya, But i wasnt refering to debating with like minded people, but those that push there agendas and get all the attention, when they are talking .....

Anyway i think i got it...this is how i figure it. If you debate on a internet forum and you are a reasonable person you have a life. And reasonable people kwow they can just ignore a post as easily as changing a T.V channel and thats good . But lost its that insane minority that puzh thete point and scant you off with out any humun dignity. Well that really doesnt bother me at al...but i just think poster that have survived 1000 plus posts maybe able to reflect on and share how they survived, stayed and contributed when so many gave up.
